Simon Fox, CEO Reach PLC is our after-dinner speaker

Join us for an informal dinner with Simon Fox

Following on from the day seminar we will once again be hosting a drinks reception and an informal three-course dinner. Our speaker for the evening will be the eloquent and charismatic Simon Fox, Chief Executive of Reach plc (formerly Trinity Mirror).

Recently rebranded as Reach plc, following the group’s acquisition of Northern and Shell titles, they are now reaching 19 million UK people in print. “Our reach will be our greatest strength, and our readers and advertisers will benefit hugely from our combined presence”, says Simon Fox.

Simon Fox has been Chief Executive of Reach plc since September 2012.

Simon began his career as a graduate trainee at Security Pacific Bank and then at Boston Consulting Group. Thereafter, he founded Office World, the UK’s first out-of-town office supplies retailer which he ran between 1989 and 1998.

He then joined Kingfisher Group and was responsible for setting up the e-commerce operations of a number of companies across Europe before becoming COO of the European electrical retailing division.

Between 2006 and 2012 he was Chief Executive of HMV Group, which at the time operated the HMV brand in the UK and overseas, MaMa Group (live music) and Waterstones, bookstores in the UK.

Simon was previously a Non-Executive Director at Guardian Media Group and now sits on the PA Group Board.

This event provides fantastic opportunities for networking and exploring further the topics of the day.
