Jodie Ginsberg is the CEO of Index on Censorship; a UK-based non-profit organisation that campaigns for and defends free expression worldwide. Index monitors threats to free speech, promotes public debate on the issue and publishes work by censored writers and artists.
Her career started as a journalist with Thomson Reuters – where she went from graduate trainee to London Bureau Chief in seven years, and has spanned analytical consultancy at think tank Demos, and communications with Camfed, a non-profit that invests in girls’ and women’s education and empowerment in Africa.
