Net Zero– What it means, why it matters and how to get started

The climate crisis requires urgent action from all businesses and a credible climate strategy is increasingly becoming a requirement to recruit and retain the best employees, win new customers and comply with government reporting requirements. In this seminar, Simon Heppner, founder of Net Zero Now will explore –

  • What net zero means for print businesses
  • Why it makes business sense to get started
  • How you can take effective action

BIO

After completing an MA in Environmental economics at Manchester University, Simon joined Europe’s leading sustainability consultancy, Good Business, in 2006 to create and develop their climate strategy offer and remains involved as an advisor after developing long-term working relationships with clients such as eBay, Virgin Media & Vitality.

In 2010 Simon co-founded the Sustainable Restaurant Association, creating a sustainability framework and rating, Food Made Good that has become a globally recognised standard. Simon continues to support the development of the SRA as a non-executive director and also serves as a non-exec for Farm Wilder.

Simon’s current focus is Net Zero Now, the carbon accounting and climate action platform he founded in 2021. Net Zero Now is currently used by c3,500 registered sites and has over 500,000 tons CO2e under management.
